Orientation Master

The Master's Orientation for the next Summer Semester (2025) will take place on March 31st on Campus Bahrenfeld.

For the people starting their studies at UHH this semester, we have planned a general introduction to the university and the department starting at 9:30 in seminar room 1083 at Notkestraße 9 (first floor). For everyone else, the Master OE will start at 11:30 in the same room with a welcome to the department.

For lunch, we will go to the DESY canteen (only cash accepted). If you prefer to bring your own food, there are some microwaves available.

In the afternoon, we meet in the seminar room at HARBOR (building 610, ground floor).

After a brief introduction by us students, the academic office will present the course of studies and give some tips on registration and semester planning.

From 15:15 onwards, we will have a booth for each specialization area and students who are studying them who can give recommendations on modules to take, the content of lectures, requirements for the exam, etc. There will be some snacks and drinks.

At 17:00, we will go for a tour of the Campus to see where your lectures will take place and possibly give some insight into the research being done.

In the evening, we will go to a restaurant to get some food and drinks.
